Chris Otterson is a combat veteran, former law enforcement professional, and longtime firearms trainer. Raised in Northern Washington, he now lives in Louisiana, where his writing's are shaped by the contrast between rugged northern roots and the realities of life in the South.

His background in military service and real-world crisis response gives his writing a grounded sense of urgency, realism, and human resilience. He is a former Criminal Justice Adjunct professor and the owner of a firearms training business since 2012. These experiences inform the practical, disciplined perspective behind his stories.

Chris is a husband, father, and emerging author whose debut novel is a survivalist insurgency thriller inspired by his own experiences and the realities of life under extreme pressure. He is currently writing the next books in the series, and additional standalone projects are also in development.
